Velocity Raptor!!!

Yesterday was Dinosaur Day!  "For those of you new to the holiday, this will be it's 4th year. The concept is as basic as the name: Draw A Dinosaur! Sketch, doodle, use your computer, however you want! Then nab a picture of it, and upload it to the website. Put it in the flickr group, blog/lj it, tweet it out, put it here, there, everywhere. It's all about the fun of drawing a dinosaur. And who doesn't enjoy that?"

I drew this "Velocity" Raptor back in college, 2004... I was in physics with ellen, and we were joking about something (and obviously not paying attention) and velocity raptor was born.  Probably one of the only dinosaurs I ever drew!

Anniversary Week!

I know, I know.  I'm a little behind on my comics... so much for 365 comics in 365 days!  But I am trying to catch up!!  Instead of sketing and inking comics last week, I just sketched them.  So I could try and catch myself up.  Here are my comic "stats" for January (not inluding today)

Still a blank page: 2

At least my finished number is the highest... heh.  I'm going to have to work really hard today and this week because Thursday is the 1 year anniversary of my blog!!  It would be a shame to not post anything during anniversary week!

Something for ME

So after months of making presents for others, I finally finished something for myself.  A big warm off-white scarf.  I probably started it back in September... but it sat unfinished in my closet.  And don't for a second think this scarf didn't let me forget my neglect.  When I took it out to finish on Sunday there was a fierce battle between the scarf and I... end score, Scarf: 3 Me: 1.  I lost to a scarf... and ultimately took out more stitches than I put in!

It's done now though... and just in time for a warm week.... figures.  Scarf: 4, Me: 1

The little people in my head

I hope you notice this is back-dated from January 3rd... I don't drink heavily or at all on Wednesday nights. haha.  I'm trying to catch up on my comics as I've slacked off the past few days.

I finally finished doodling the back of my doodle sketchbook!  Well I actually finished it awhile ago, but just remembered I didn't post it this past weekend. hehe.  I posted the front back in September!

I have 3 cartoons from this weekend... I'll have to scan and post them later!

Hitting the (French) Slopes

I mentioned a few times that I was working on a tshirt design for my sister and the Rowan Ski and Snowboard Club.  Well it's done and printed!

The printer wasn't able to do halftones so I had to alter my original front to fit the 3 colors that were going to be used (the printer picked the blue).  But over all I'm happy with it!

Give me an 'S', give me a 'B'

I finished one of my last christmas presents yesterday..2 more to go! haha.  This present was for my sister (Sara Beth), I made her initials 3d out of 1/16" mat board, and doodled all over before i glued it all together.  The letters are about 13" high and 1.75" wide.

100

Picking something for my older-younger brother was hard... but I finally decided on a depiction of a hockey game he went to.  He was in attendance of Martin Brodeur's 100 career shutout on March 1st.  What made the game even better, was later the night he noticed a photo from the game on the ESPN website... and he was in the background!

I chose to recreate the picture that was on the website.  This is the last present I actually finished in time for Christmas, (I hope to finish the other 3 before the end of January!)
