Let them eat cake

I made this cake for my boyfriend's birthday celebration this past weekend.

It's a Mets Jersey (in case you couldn't tell), with his name as the player, and since he's 30... that's the number.

I know it's not Ace of Cakes material, but I hope it's not Cake Wrecks material either!  Next time I'm going to try and use fondant... but can icing had to do this time.

Something Different

From June 5.  A few of my friends and I went to the local mall and painted some pottery!!!  We had SO MUCH FUN!  Stinks we have to wait at least a week to get our pieces back!  I'll post an update picture of my plate, and the other three pieces when we do.

It was fun to do something different... express myself in a new way.  And as a result of our pottery painting, I came home an doodled for quite a few hours.... I haven't doodled in AGES.
