Etsy Update

I recently added some of the landmark prints and archidoodle prints to my Etsy store. Originally created for Untapped Cities, they are still available from Untapped Cities through their Society6 Shop as well as their StoreEnvy Shop. Sometime in the next week or two I will be adding stationary featuring some of the same doodles and drawings. I also have prints available of my Starbucks cups.

Don't worry if you are looking for the crayon letters and can't find them! Crayon letters and other monograms will be back on November 1st. It was a difficult decision, but ultimately I decided to make them a seasonable item. They will be available the entire month of November and May. If you need them other times of the year then shoot me an Etsy conversation, I MIGHT be able to squeeze your request into my fairly busy schedule.

I'm Back (Again)

I feel like I post one of these every few months! It's hard being an artist, but not doing your art as your "day job". I feel like I am constantly trying to find a balance between: work, my art, my husband, cleaning, cooking, exercising and relaxing. One area always gets more attention than the others. Since my blog is a minor part of my art, it falls even further to the wayside sometimes. 

The past few months I spend way too much time on my art, I sacrificed a lot. But even then I didn't even get to blog. So I will try and catch you up the next week or so :) Stay tuned.

2013 Resolutions Recap

I honestly had zero time to make any progress on my 2013 resolutions since my last update on December 2nd. December was filled with crayon letters and Etsy orders and very little sleep. Definitely no time for visiting galleries, working on my website or working out (what is that?!).

I guess I'll have to do better on my 2014 resolutions... post to come. I also realized that from 1/1/13 to 12/31/13 my priorities and goals changed drastically. So not only will be my resolutions be more obtainable, they will also be a little looser to match my ever evolving style/goals.

Downtown Doodler Etsy Update

I have been so blessed to be incredibly busy with my Etsy store lately, on top of getting Bleu Dog Creative (BDC) off the ground. We even have a few orders from there so far!

Obviously since BDC is a wedding store I moved my wedding related items off my personal Etsy. This includes:

• All chalkboard signs
• Drink Flags
• Cork hearts
• Wine bottle timecapules

If you or someone you know were previously looking at these items don't be alarmed, I still make them but they are only available for purchase on BDC's Etsy store front.

I have also made the decision to move my doodles off Etsy and on to another platform such as Society 6 and/or Storenvy.com. My art doesn't sell on Etsy as well as my crafts like the crayon monograms. While this move hasn't happened yet, I hope to have all my doodle prints and starbucks cups off my personal Etsy by the end of the year.

I think I made some real progress since my last update! Either way I've been working my bumm off.

ART:

- Submit my work for consideration for 3 art shows 0/3 Changing this a bit since my goals have changed: Market myself/ my art in 3 new BIG ways. 1/3

- finish my comics from my comic-a-day project (no progress)

UPDATE

I've been a little MIA lately from the blog, but that's not for lack of work. I've been so blessed to be incredibly busy with my Etsy store! I've made TWENTY THREE crayon letters so far this year! All my rulers, Xacto blades and cutting boards are covered in crayon dust. I've bought out all the crayons from multiple craft stores and a few Targets. I've sold some other doodles and custom pieces, but the crayon letters have been wildly popular! Here are a few of my favorite letters:

My studio also got an upgrade... from a corner to an entire room! It's not 100% set up yet, but it's slowly getting there.
