Let's Go Yankees!

This was another one of my favorite presents I gave out this year.  This one was for my little brother, who like me, is a die hard Yankee fan.  This was made by building up layers, just like I made the letters for my BBSALT girls

Layer 1 (from bottom up): base
Layer 2: Everything minus negative space
Layer 3: Everything minus negative space and baseball laces
Layer 4: Everything minus negative space, baseball laces, and white in hat,

and so on and so forth... taking away more and more mat board until the last layer is the word Yankees and the baseball wood grain.

The logo measures about 10 inches in diameter and is made of 6 layers.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
SEE YOU IN 2010!!

Wayback Wednesday

The title of the today's blog says it all... way-back Wednesday! I'm pulling one out of the back of the closet.

This is a piece I did for my design fundamentals project. We had to show gradient through the morphing of shapes, in this case 4 circles and the shifting of the "stages". And yes... it is done in my favorite medium, sharpie marker. haha

More Circle Doodles

I love doing these circle doodles!

I am not sure if I want to add more to the middle of this one... I can't figure out what to put there, so it's done for now.

I Am Drawing In Circles!

This doodle shows my love of all things symmetrical (and round)! I am working on a second... it looks a little less like and Aztec plate than this one does.
