Cutting Some Pipe

After a yummy Vietnamese lunch the boyfriend and I were heading back uptown when he pointed out this awesome photo op.  With a little bit of patience I got these!  Enjoy

Let them eat cake

I made this cake for my boyfriend's birthday celebration this past weekend.

It's a Mets Jersey (in case you couldn't tell), with his name as the player, and since he's 30... that's the number.

I know it's not Ace of Cakes material, but I hope it's not Cake Wrecks material either!  Next time I'm going to try and use fondant... but can icing had to do this time.

Happy 30th Birthday again Al!!

Orange Subway Seats

Since my boyfriend joined me at a Yankees game last weekend, I joined him at a Mets game this past weekend.  I took a few pictures on the (almost) empty subway ride to the game.

(It was the only perk of taking the local train instead of the express)

This was from the platform waiting to go back to Manhattan

Happy October!

I apologize for being really inconsistent... if you are up to hearing my excuse: work has been busy and my life has been even busier!  So here is one from the archives... I AM going to draw tonight... even if I have to stay up later.

This was a project for my design fundamentals class in college.  We had to incorporate 2 images representing opposites into the same graphic.  I chose a bat to represent dark and a dove to represent light.  We had to use 3 colors; black, white, and another of our choosing.  If you look closely you can see a sun and a moon incorporated into the graphic as well.
