more HDR

My two other attempts with HDR, shot at the same time as the red christmas light.  Not as dramatic and successful, but not half bad.  Better luck next time!

First attempt in HDR

I experimented a bit with HDR and photoshop  It took 3 exposures to get this. It's not all that great for an HDR shot, but it was my first time trying it out and wasn't really sure what I needed to shoot to get the merged effect I wanted.  I will definitely try it again, it was fun!

Let It Be... Naked

Not my most successful cover... also not my favorite to draw.. at all.  The cover is the black and white negatives from the photos on the original Let it Be album.  I'm not sure I was able to capture the negative very well.  My mind doesn't work backwards like that.  I cant see what is and make it the opposite, I also can't sculpt... my mind doesn't think subtractive like that... only additive.  ::shrugs::  I tried, that's all that matters.. right?

Beatles for Sale

Ok... The faces... easy... the blurs in front of George and Ringo... not so easy... the weird shapes behind Ringo's head... also not very easy.  Over all I'm happy with the faces, at least from a cartoon stand point.

From Lincoln to George

I took this cell phone picture  (yea droid!) on my recent birthday trip to DC with my boyfriend, Al.  I didn't want to bring my nikon and tripod and be "that girl"... plus it was 11:30 at night when we headed out on what turned out to be a 4 mile excursion on a below freezing night.  So needless to say I didn't have the patience to deal with the tripod and shutter speed, blah blah blah.  BUT I am SO happy with how this photo came out.  Probably one of my all time favorites.

Doodle Mug

Do you remember the last time i doodled? Because I don't!  Ooops... well below is a mug i painted for a gift swap/holiday party I went to with some of my friends on 12/4.  I ran into a few logistical errors painting it, but it was LOTS of fun... I might just have to make a few of these for myself!

PS. Picture 3 is my favorite doodled part, but I do love the star from picture 4 :)

1967-1970 (disc 2)

I posted the cover to disc 1 on Saturday, and disc 2 I made identical, except it is mirrored.  So in total I did this cover 4 times, twice for 1967-1960, once for Please, Please Me, and again for 1962-1966.
