Hollowed out books
My main gift to all my family and friends as a hollowed out book. It was fun to pick out a book for each person, making sure it fit their personality and/or likes. It was not fun to cut them all up. Some books cooperated, some did not. Those that didn't had thin or fragile pages that tore and didn't always cut the way I wanted. Everyone seemed to love them, and that's all that mattered.

Necklaces
For my BBSALT ladies this Christmas I put together a necklace set. I found these great shell cross sections on my vacation to LBI this summer, and thought they would be perfect as necklaces. I also (stupidly) made the chains myself. Between experimenting because I did not knowwhat I was doing, and the MANY trips to the craft store (plus gas) it probably would have been easier (and cheaper) to buy the chains myself. But on the plus side I know how to make necklaces now!
PS BBSALT ladies, I can make your chains shorter, or recut them to make them longer if you want. Just let me know :)
